Pet Embroidery at Sunday Girl Café - March Workshop

This month’s pet embroidery workshop at Sunday Girl in Old City Philadelphia was a full house, with 14 people (and one extra special guest… a very cute dog who joined us). Each participant worked on stitching their own pet, using custom designs I drew from their photos ahead of time. Everyone spent the afternoon learning embroidery techniques while bringing their pets to life, one stitch at a time.

What made this workshop especially memorable was the group itself. We had a few attendees who work with the SPCA, along with their volunteer friends, who shared more about the work they do supporting animals across Philadelphia. It added a different layer to the workshop, everyone was already there because they love their pets, but getting to hear about the impact of that work in the local community made it even more meaningful.

Workshops like this are always a mix of learning something new, slowing down for a few hours, and connecting over something personal, your pets.
