Mini Fall Sock Pumpkins

Our October 55+ Craft Class was full of cozy fall vibes and growing creativity! We had 24 participants this month, our biggest group yet, and so many new faces joined in on the fun.

This month’s project was mini fall pumpkins, and they couldn’t have been easier (or cuter!). We stuffed socks of all colors, wrapped them with twine, and added hand-cut felt leaves to bring these perfect little pumpkins to life. They turned out absolutely adorable and the best part? They’ll last year after year as the perfect fall décor. I love seeing people make gifts for their neighbors and grandkids. They craft with the intent to spread love and creativity!

Some of the new ladies walked in a little nervous, telling me they hadn’t been creative in years and hoped the craft would be easy. I promised them it would be and that they could do this. By the end of class, one woman came up to me and said, “Wow, I haven’t felt like that in so long. It was so relaxing and stress-relieving to sit and craft. I had such a great time. I’ll definitely be here next month!”

Moments like that are exactly why I love teaching these classes. It’s not just about making something beautiful, it’s about reminding people that they’re capable of creating, that crafting can be both healing and empowering. I love seeing how these workshops help people relax, connect, and rediscover their creativity.

It’s truly inspiring to watch how each session transforms people, not only for the wellness benefits but in shifting their mindset that they can create, and they can make things. 💛
